#InPictures: Over 1,000 take part in Calcutta Run 2023
Over 1,000 runners took part in the 25th Calcutta Run, the legal fundraiser which aims to raise €400,000 for The Hope Foundation and Peter McVerry Trust.
The main event in Dublin on Saturday included a 5km and 10km course, starting at Blackhall Place and winding its way through Phoenix Park via the surrounding streets of Dublin 7.
Participants celebrated after the run with a free BBQ, bar, ice cream, a DJ and kids’ activities on the grounds of Blackhall Place.
The winners of the 10km men’s race were:

The winners of the 10km women’s race were:
- Jennifer O’Sullivan, Volkswagen, 41.03

- Aoife Duggan McSweeney, Eversheds Sutherland, 44.50
The winners of the 5km men’s race were:

The winners of the 5km women’s race were:
- Emily Sheils, Maples Group, 17.54
- Maeve Lochrie, Matheson LLP, 18.30
- Jen Preston, Matheson LLP, 18.31
On Sunday, 100 runners took part in the Calcutta Run’s satellite event in Cork.
The winners of the 5km men’s race were:
- Shane Collins, 20.09
- Eoin Casey, P.J. O’Driscoll & Sons LLP, 21.49
- Darryl Broderick, RDJ LLP, 21.57
The winners of the 5km women’s race were:
- Lisa McCarthy, 23.38
