#InPictures: ‘Privilege and moving experience’ to be called to bar
New barrister Pierce O’Meara has said it was a “privilege and moving experience to have been admitted to the degree of Barrister-at-Law at The Honorable Society of King’s Inns and subsequently called to The Bar of Ireland by the Chief Justice, the Hon. Mr. Justice Donal O’Donnell”.
He wrote on LinkedIn: “It has been a pleasure to work towards this prestigious academic capstone, the achievement of which now completes my legal education journey.
“Further, I am happy to announce that I have recently taken a position in the Competition Law practice of the Brussels office of Gide Loyrette Nouel. Gide is one of France’s leading international law firms and I look forward to honing my craft within the firm.
“Deep thanks and gratitude to my parents who supported me along the way and to my friends for making the experience so enjoyable.”
