NI: JMK Solicitors sponsors ‘touch the car’ competition for sixth form pupils
Personal injury and road traffic accident specialist firm JMK Solicitors has partnered with New Driver to offer school pupils the chance to win a new car.
The law firm is a corporate partner of New Driver, a community interest company that visits sixth form students every year to deliver a safe-motoring presentation and offer advice to anyone about to start driving.
Seven pupils from across Northern Ireland who completed the safe motoring presentation on the New Driver website were picked at random to compete for the prize on Saturday 26 June, and three more will be selected tomorrow.
The “touch the car” competition will see the pupils challenged to keep their hand on the car all day, with the last person still touching the car to be crowned the winner – with “some surprises and challenges thrown in during the day”.
The prize has been jointly sponsored by JMK Solicitors and accident management company CRASH Services.
Olivia Meehan, legal services director at JMK Solicitors, said: “As a legal firm specialising in personal injury cases, many of which are a result of road traffic accidents, we feel there is a real importance to educating young people on the importance of safe motoring as they progress into driving for the first time.
“We are delighted to support New Driver Safety Ambassadors and the exciting ‘Touch the Car’ competition.”
Jonathan McKeown, CEO at CRASH Services, added: “As an accident management company, we feel there is a real importance to educating novice motorists on the importance of safe driving as they progress into the roads for the first time. We are delighted to offer one lucky person the chance of winning a new car this summer!”
