Justin Kouame appointed to Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission
Justin Kouame, former chair of the Northern Ireland Community of Refugees and Asylum Seekers, has been appointed to the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC).
Mr Kouame, who is also a former member of the Northern Ireland Race Equality Sub-Group and Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities, will take up the appointment for a three-year term from 1 September 2022.
Alyson Kilpatrick, chief commissioner of the NIHRC, said: “On behalf of the Commission, I am delighted to welcome Justin Kouame as a new commissioner from 1 September 2022.
“Justin brings a wealth of experience that will strengthen and enrich the Commission’s work.
“All Commissioners and staff look forward to working with Justin as we continue to protect and promote human rights for everyone in Northern Ireland.”
