Keoghs NI announces 21 new appointments and promotions
Insurance law specialist Keoghs has announced a major expansion in Northern Ireland with 21 new appointments and promotions, including two new partners, six associates and a further six solicitors.
New partners Rachel Keenan and Megan McBrien are experienced in acting for insurers, defending a broad range of complex claims in the motor, casualty and indemnity sectors. They will now work alongside Victoria McLean, lead partner in Keoghs Northern Ireland.
The new associates are Catherine Martin, who specialises in property, recoveries and coverage, and Ruth Megaw, covering credit hire.
The firm has also established a specialist lead lawyer team including Anthony Murphy, Edel McCullagh, Will Gibson and Charlene McSparron, specialists in their fields of large loss, motor, casualty, disease and fraud. They will support and guide clients in the defence of complex risks and actions in an increasingly litigious claims environment.
In addition to the senior appointments, Keoghs Northern Ireland has also appointed five new paralegals, supporting two trainee solicitors, and will add a further two training contracts from September 2024.
Ms McLean, lead partner, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the success of our new partners and to welcome the new members of the team.
“These promotions and appointments reinforce our position as leaders in insurance litigation. Supporting the progression of our staff is a priority for us and places Keoghs in an excellent position to provide an expert service to our clients.
“With our newly strengthened team, aligned with the specific needs of our valued clients, we are best placed to continue to provide exceptional support to our clients and fulfil our ambition for growth.”
Keoghs expanded into Northern Ireland five years ago through a merger with Belfast-based Caldwell Warner. The firm has offices in all UK jurisdictions.
