Keystone Law has celebrated its first year in Northern Ireland, a year on from its merger with Belfast-based McMahon McKay.

John McMahon, the firm’s founding partner in Belfast alongside Danny McKay, said the firm had been “growing ever since”.

Since making two senior appointments last July, the firm has brought on employment lawyer Heather Hacking and Jessica Morris, former general counsel at Transport for London.

Jonny Mullan and Lauren McGarry have also joined as trainees.

Mr McMahon said: “Our Adelaide Street office is a halfway house, so to speak. We have staff specialising in all areas of law and are always on the lookout for new lawyers who want to do things differently. Our model gives staff a flexible way to work or the attraction is there for those maybe wanting to return home from England.”

Keystone Law NI recently created the corporate vehicles and legal relationships to launch Halo in Belfast, a £70 million cyber and economic development in collaboration with Marie Macklin MBE, and advised Northside Regeneration Limited on a £40m forward funded 620-bed student accommodation deal in Belfast city centre.
