King’s Inns announces electoral law advanced diploma
King’s Inns has announced a new advanced diploma course on The Democratic Process and Electoral Law which is set to commence in January 2016.
The course, billed as “the first of its kind in Ireland”, is designed to enable participants to navigate the complexities of Ireland’s electoral and parliamentary system.
It will cover issues such as new regulations on party funding, gender quotas, election expenses, media responsibilities and new legislation governing parliamentary inquiries.
Participants will also learn about the constitutional and international legal principles governing Ireland’s democratic system.
The course is aimed at those “directly or indirectly involved in the democratic process”, including lawyers, civil servants, political party members and public representatives.
The fee for the course is €2,950 and applications must be submitted by Wednesday 13 January 2016.
