K&L Gates inaugurates new Dublin office
Global law firm K&L Gates (Ireland) LLP has formally launched its new Dublin office at an event in the Royal College of Physicians.
The US-headquartered firm previously said its Irish operation will initially focus on asset management and investment funds (AMIF), with additional practice capabilities planned “over time”.
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, the Irish government minister of state with responsibility for financial services, credit unions and insurance, addressed attendees at the firm’s launch event event.
“We have built a very successful international financial services sector in Ireland and I am delighted to welcome K&L Gates to our shores,” Ms MacNeill said.
“They join an ever growing talented pool of companies and professionals who are making Ireland their home to serve their International financial services partners. I look forward to seeing K&L Gates embed and grow their operations here well into the future”.
Gayle Bowen, managing partner of the Dublin office, said: “Ireland is a globally significant market for the asset management and investment funds and broader financial services industries. K&L Gates’ presence here will help meet the needs of global clients as they increasingly look to Ireland as a place to do business.
“I am delighted to be leading the Dublin office at the start of its exciting journey.”
