KOD Lyons promotes Eoghan O’Sullivan to associate
Dublin firm KOD Lyons Solicitors has announced the promotion of Eoghan O’Sullivan to associate.
Mr O’Sullivan has practised as part of the human rights firm’s criminal defence, juvenile justice and child care law departments since 2017.
Gareth Noble, partner at KOD Lyons, told Irish Legal News: “We are delighted to announce Eoghan O’Sullivan as an associate of KOD Lyons Solicitors. Eoghan has been a valued member of the team for the last eight years.
“Eoghan joined KOD Lyons as a summer intern in May 2014, completed his traineeship in December 2017 and as a solicitor has been an integral part of our criminal defence, juvenile justice and child care law departments ever since.”
Mr Noble added: “Eoghan is a passionate advocate for juvenile justice and children’s rights and appears regularly in both the adult and juvenile justice courts. He worked on a number of groundbreaking prison law High Court cases including the successful challenge to single separation in Oberstown Detention Centre.
“He has led a number of important initiatives in terms of firm development including developing strong links between KOD Lyons and the School of Law and Government in Dublin City University. He is an example of the emphasis that KOD Lyons places on investing in people and seeing them progress within the firm.
“He was also recently identified by the Irish Council for Civil Liberties as someone to represent the solicitor profession at an international criminal law conference in Madrid.”
