KOD Lyons welcomes three new trainees
Dublin firm KOD Lyons has welcomed trainees Sarah Field, Stephen O’Flynn and Mary Hassan to its team.
Ms Field, who has prior experience working with the Children’s Rights Alliance and the Office of the Ombudsman for Children, joins the firm’s childcare and judicial review team.
Mr O’Flynn previously completed an internship with the firm and has wide experience in the NGO sector, especially around immigration and asylum rights. He joins the firm’s criminal law department.
Ms Hassan, who joins the personal injury and litigation department, has a wealth of experience working with a range of human rights projects.
The former election candidate is well-known for challenging David Cameron and Ed Miliband on the rights of LGBT people in Northern Ireland during a televised debate ahead of the last UK general election.
Partner Gareth Noble told Irish Legal News: “We are delighted to welcome three new trainees to join our team. 109 applications for our trainee programme were received and the quality of those applications were of the highest standard we have ever received.”
He added: “The new trainees join us at a very exciting time in KOD Lyons as we continue our work as a leading rights based firm in ensuring that human rights law is accessible and of benefit to all.”
