NI: Labour Relations Agency chairperson to be appointed in May
A new chairperson will be appointed to the Labour Relations Agency (LRA) in May following a one-month extension to the current chair’s term.
Economy Minister Diane Dodds yesterday announced that Marie Mallon would remain in place as chair of the LRA board until 30 April 2021.
Ms Mallon has chaired the independent and publicly-funded LRA since August 2014, following her retirement from a senior healthcare position. She previously served as a member of the Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunals for 15 years.
Ms Dodds said: “I am delighted that Marie has agreed to serve a further month in office to allow for new Chairperson to take up the role on 1 May.
“Marie will continue to bring significant experience to the role and, coupled with her understanding of employment issues, a keen awareness of the importance of good practice.”
