Law Reform Commission seeks views on financial crime laws
The Law Reform Commission is seeking views on whether criminal law can effectively deal with serious wrongdoing by corporate bodies.
An issues paper published as part of the Commission’s Fourth Programme of Law Reform addresses the supervisory and enforcement powers of the State’s main financial and economic regulators, as well as criminal law regarding fraud legislation and the general rules for attributing criminal liability to corporate bodies.
Submissions from all interested parties have been invited before Wednesday 30 March 2016.
