Law Society issues warning about fake immigration law firms
The Law Society of Ireland has issued a warning about fake law firms operating under the names Immigration Solicitors Dublin and Immigration Lawyer Cork.
In a statement published online, the regulatory body for solicitors said it “does not authorise or regulate” a practice by either name, and the name “Abdullah al Mamun” is not on the roll of solicitors.
The Society added: “The profession and members of the public are therefore advised that any business, correspondence or transactions undertaken with them is not from a regulated practice of solicitors.
“If you receive any correspondence from any entity that you are unsure of, you should check the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the practice directly by reliable and established means, such as the Law Society or Law Directory.”
