Law Society launches strategic plan to support small law firms
The Law Society of Ireland has launched a new strategic plan to support small Irish law firms.
It comes after it commissioned consultancy firm Crowe to examine the 2,043 solicitor firms in Ireland with five or fewer solicitors.
The firm’s report sets out 11 strategic recommendations to assist sole practitioners and smaller practices to grow their businesses and achieve greater success for themselves, their staff and their local communities.
Its research involved a survey of hundreds of firms, focus groups and in-depth case studies.
Ken Murphy, director general of the Law Society, said: “Many of the challenges smaller firms face are similar to those faced by other business owners and SMEs. The Law Society is working to support smaller firms as businesses as well as lawyers.”
