The Law Society of Ireland has announced plans to launch a new leadership course aimed at helping Ireland’s “next generation of leaders” compete in a post-Brexit world.

The Executive Leadership Programme, which has been designed to suit leaders in any industry or profession, will launch in Dublin this October.

Antoinette Moriarty, course manager, said: “Many of our top Irish executives are travelling to the United Kingdom to attend generic leadership programmes, or paying fees for specialised coaching locally that are so high that it often precludes many businesses being able to support and invest in their top talent.

“In 2016 we launched a trial bespoke programme that received highly positive feedback from participants. The trial sought to test the interest and assumptions about leadership development in Ireland, and featured a number of unique and innovative offerings.

“A defining element of this programme is its emphasis on the psychology of leadership – how a leader’s own personality, communication style and value system determines their impact within their organisation and beyond.

“Our delivery team has a particular strength in individual and organisational psychology and it is this ‘Inside-Out’ approach that distinguishes the Law Society’s Programme from other more academic and less experiential leadership programmes.”

The Executive Leadership Programme 2017-18 will operate with support from the Finuas Networks and aims to stay priced within reach of many current and aspiring executives.
