Legal Aid Board conference to focus on progress of family justice system reforms
The progress of reforms to the family justice system will be the focus of the Legal Aid Board’s 2019 annual conference next week.
Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan will open the conference, which will hear from members of the judiciary on potential improvements to the family justice system, as well as key stakeholders from the legal profession and front-line NGOs who support families in crisis situations.
The conference in Blackhall Place on Wednesday 25 September will also be addressed by senior representatives of key Government departments and the Courts Service.
The Board said the conference “will be an opportunity for stakeholders in the family justice system to share views on the nature and pace of change and to maintain the momentum for change”.
