Leinster solicitor questioned by gardaí over theft allegations

A solicitor in Leinster has been questioned by gardaí in connection with allegations including theft, false accounting, forgery and use of sale instruments.

The unnamed solicitor, who is a man in his 50s, was arrested last Thursday and subsequently released without charge, the Leinster Express reports.

The Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB) reportedly launched an investigation into the man following a complaint from the Law Society of Ireland.

A file is being prepared by gardaí for the director of public prosecutions.
