Leman Solicitors appoints new chief operating officer
Dublin firm Leman Solicitors has announced the recent appointment of Ian Bowell as chief operating officer.
Mr Bowell, who has 25 years of experience in technology development, implementation and infrastructure, is the firm’s digital strategy leader.
The firm said his “digital background is key” to the COO role, in which he will further integrate digital into Leman Solicitors, influence the business side and focus the future of newlaw, including new business lines such as legal consulting.
Mr Bowell will help colleagues, partners and clients understand and use what’s new in technology for Irish and international law.
He has recently advised a number of firms on target operating model for technology transformation to the cloud, and also advised on risk and compliance technology and process automation.
A computer science graduate of University College Dublin, Mr Bowell spent ten years working in the United States.
He became VP of technology engineering with investment banks Credit Suisse and ING and later spent more than ten years in London as CTO with asset management and FinTech firms including Fauchier Partners and London Diversified Fund Management LLP (LDFM).
Prior to LDFM, Ian held a variety of technology roles at global firms, including McKinsey & Co and Align.com.
