Leman Solicitors raises over €20,000 for children’s charity
Leman Solicitors has presented Barretstown Children’s Charity with a cheque for €20,000 after a successful fundraising initiative.
Teams of staff at the law firm climbed eight mountains in Wicklow as part of the “Leman LeMountain” challenge to raise funds for the charity, which is celebrating 25 years in existence.
John Hogan, managing partner at Leman Solicitors, said: “This year, in our 9th annual Leman challenge, we were delighted to raise money for Barretstown.
“It was wonderful to see our staff so engaged in both the fundraising and on the day itself, with a wonderful sense of achievement and collaboration for all involved.
“We are extremely grateful to our clients, suppliers and family and friends who helped us reach our €20k target and delighted to support the fantastic work Barretstown do for sick children from all over Ireland.”
Kevin Dempsey from Barretstown added: “On behalf of everyone at Barretstown we would like to say thank you to the amazing team at Leman Solicitors.
“Each year it costs €5.8 million to run our programmes at Barretstown – everything, including accommodation, food and medical assistance are provided at no cost to the family.
“We rely almost entirely on donations and the fundraising efforts of individuals, community groups and corporate supporters like Leman Solicitors, who go the extra mile to ensure that we can provide our programmes to children living with a serious illness and their families.”
