LK Shields appoints Judith Curran as employment partner
LK Shields has appointed Judith Curran as a partner in the firm’s employment, pensions and employee benefits team.
Dual-qualified in Ireland and in England and Wales, Ms Curran has specialist experience in advising organisations on the employment considerations of international acquisitions, managing protected disclosures, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and the negotiations of settlements and exit packages.
She also advises on redundancy and reorganisation, TUPE, ESG reporting, and diversity and inclusion, and has experience working with clients across a range of sectors including financial services, IT, hospitality, recruitment, leisure, facilities management, security, healthcare, and the charity sectors.
Ms Curran joins the firm from Mason Hayes & Curran, where she served as counsel to the employment and benefits team, and was previously a partner at UK-based Clarkson, Wright & Jakes.
Richard Curran, managing partner at LK Shields, said: “Judith brings a wealth of international experience to her new role, across a number of practice areas, including but not limited to equality and diversity, discrimination, dismissals, disciplinary and grievance processes, protected disclosures, redundancy, restructuring and reorganisation.
“She is adept at handling day-to-day employment law matters, supporting in-house counsel, HR teams and senior management teams in Ireland, the UK and the US.
“Her appointment further bolsters the excellent credentials of our employment, pensions and employee benefits team, and supports our reputation as a leading independent Irish law firm that is a trusted partner to domestic and overseas clients.”
