LSRA invites solicitors to share their views on its next strategic plan

The Legal Services Regulatory Authority is seeking the views of stakeholders to assist in the development of its forthcoming Strategic Plan 2025-2028.
Stakeholders are invited to share their views and insights via a short online anonymous survey which is open until 1 May.
The LSRA wants to hear from you how it can shape its resources and capabilities to regulate the provision of legal services in line with its statutory objectives to:
- protect and promote the public interest;
- support the proper and effective administration of justice;
- protect and promote the interests of consumers of legal services;
- promote competition in legal services;
- encourage an independent, strong and effective legal profession; and
- promote and maintain adherence to the professional principles of legal practitioners.
The survey will give you the opportunity to let the LSRA know:
- what you think of its work in progressing its statutory objectives;
- future opportunities and challenges for the LSRA; and
- your views on priority areas for LSRA research.
The LSRA is interested to hear from stakeholders including law firms, solicitors and barristers, members of the public, professional representative bodies, businesses, non-governmental organisations, academics and statutory agencies.
The LSRA’s current Strategic Plan, its third, runs until September 2025. The new plan will run from October 2025 to September 2028.
The survey is being conducted by Barncat Consulting on behalf of the LSRA. Participation is entirely anonymous and voluntary.
The survey will take only five to 10 minutes to complete. No preparation is needed and all contributions are confidential, anonymised and welcome.
The survey is available to complete here: LSRA Strategy Survey.
