Mary McAleese to address ‘first-of-its-kind’ intravarsity law summit

Former Irish president Mary McAleese will deliver a keynote speech to students from all seven Irish law schools next year at Ireland’s first-ever intervarsity law summit.
The “first-of-its-kind” event will bring together the law societies at University College Cork (UCC), Trinity College Dublin (TCD), Dublin City University (DCU), the University of Limerick (UL), University College Dublin (UCD), NUI Galway (NUIG) and Maynooth.
The three-day event in Cork, running from 25-27 February 2022, will feature an intervarsity gala ball and dinner, networking opportunities with Ireland’s 12 largest law firms, panel discussions and the Intervarsity Moot and Mock Trial Finals.
Bailey Lane, auditor at UCC Law Society, said: “This launch wouldn’t have came together without the help of our summit officer Anna O’Doherty and her team who have helped put this idea into a real, outstanding event for the Irish legal calendar.”
