All staff at Matheson now have access to the Workplace platform, which functions as a closed, secure version of Facebook for staff in a specific workplace.

The firm said: “On web browser and mobile, all staff will have access to the service, allowing them to communicate and work more effectively using Facebook’s familiar groups, chat and multimedia features, including live video, yet on a completely secure internal platform.”

The platform was launched last October, and Facebook says it is already used by more than 1,000 organisations worldwide.
