McCann FitzGerald is to provide bespoke in-house learning for its trainee solicitors for the first time under a newly-launched programme.

The MF Advance programme will offer four advanced elective learning modules — corporate transactions; advanced real estate and construction; advanced dispute resolution and legal technology; and banking, finance and financial services — with courses delivered by McCann FitzGerald partners with specialist subject matter expertise.

The firm currently supports an  average of 40 trainee solicitors each year in qualifying as solicitors as part of their Law Society of Ireland training and learning requirements.

Managing partner Stephen Holst said: “What sets McCann FitzGerald apart is the quality of our people, and the introduction of MF Advance is a significant development in how we provide exceptional development opportunities for our trainee solicitors.

“This programme will focus on areas where we see growth and need for highly developed expertise and advice for Irish businesses, and offers the opportunity for participants to gain practical skills and knowledge crucial for their professional growth.”

Emma Crowley, head of legal professional training at the firm, added: “MF Advance presents new learning opportunities within the firm for our trainees to complete their Law Society training requirements, offering highly focused and relevant electives for professional development.

“Each elective is carefully crafted to align with the demands of the modern legal marketplace and offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application.

“We look forward to rolling the programme out over the course of May and continuing to develop new ways to support learning and knowledge-sharing within our firm.”
