Merger announced of two Co Mayo law firms
Mayo-based solicitors’ practices P. O’Connor & Son and Aileen McGing Solicitors have announced the merger of their respective firms.
Charlestown-based solicitor Aileen McGing, who has delivered decades of service to the people of Charlestown, East Mayo, Connacht and further afield, now joins the team at P. O’Connor & Son.
A specialist in property law and probate, Ms McGing has now moved all of her work into the firm’s head office at Market Street, Swinford. Her clients have been notified of the new arrangement.
Welcoming the amalgamation, Pat O’Connor said: “Aileen is a great addition to the firm through the spheres of work she is concentrating on. It’s good to have somebody with her vast experience and talent to supplement the skillsets we already have. It’s a timely move for her and us.
“Thankfully, the work is there for us. We are expanding in a measured and considered way.”
Founded in 1900, P. O’Connor & Son offers a comprehensive range of legal services and advice to the corporate and commercial world as well as private clients.
The firm has achieved ISO accreditation and was recognised nationally in 2021 when it was awarded Probate Law Firm of the Year at the Irish Law Awards and shortlisted in five other categories.
