Migration expert Dr Clíodhna Murphy promoted to assicate professor
Migration and human rights expert Dr Clíodhna Murphy has been promoted to associate professor at Maynooth University Department of Law.
Dr Murphy joined the university in 2014, having previously lectured at Dublin City University and held a post-doctoral fellowship at University College Cork.
She completed her PhD at Trinity College Dublin where she was awarded an Ussher Fellowship to complete her doctoral work. She is a qualified solicitor and a non-practising member of the Law Society of Ireland.
At Maynooth, Dr Murphy teaches migration and human rights, international human rights law, and company law.
Her research focuses on migration and human rights, and the interaction of migration law and labour law. She has published widely in these areas in journals such as Human Rights Quarterly, Industrial Law Journal, Journal of Human Rights Practice, International and Comparative Law Quarterly, Public Law, and British Journal of Criminology.
