Millar McCall Wylie staff to walk Causeway Coast for charity
A team of staff from Millar McCall Wylie will be stepping up and hitting the coast this month taking on a challenge aimed at raising funds for their firm’s charity partner, the Down’s Syndrome Association and its Northern Ireland-based team.
The firm will complete an impressive 15-mile walk along the Causeway Coast Way on Saturday 15 June with the goal of raising as much money as possible to help the small and important charity carry out its work for people with Down’s syndrome and their families.
Last year, Millar McCall Wylie donated £12,500 to Cancer Fund for Children, an achievement it hopes to match again for its current charity partner this year.
Director Emma Rooney said: “We can’t wait to set off along the gorgeous Causeway Coast Way to raise funds for our charity partner Down’s Syndrome Association NI.
“Each year, we select a charity partner that is close to the hearts of our people. This is our latest challenge to turn fun into funds — not only will we be raising awareness and money, we’ll have a great time together as a team, putting our best foot forward for a good cause.”
Donna Lynch, regional manager for Northern Ireland at the Down’s Syndrome Association, added: “We’ll be right behind the team from Millar McCall Wylie every step on the way on 15th June.
“Raising funds through events like this is so appreciated and helps us continue our services here in Northern Ireland. We wish the team of walkers from Millar McCall Wylie the very best of luck and hope as many people as possible support them in their fundraising.”
