Nama inquiry deadline extended again to February 2023
The final report of the long-running inquiry into the Nama scandal has been delayed again until February 2023.
The commission, established in 2017, is investigating the National Asset Management Agency’s (Nama) disposal of its Northern Ireland loan portfolio, known as Project Eagle, in a €1.6 billion transaction.
Originally led by retired High Court judge Mr Justice John Cooke, solicitor Susan Gilvarry was recently appointed as its new sole member after the judge passed away in April this year.
The latest interim report states that Ms Gilvarry will complete a “full review of the evidence and documentation received by the Commission” and thereafter produce the draft final report.
The inquiry was originally due to deliver its final report by the end of June 2018 but has been delayed more than a dozen times.
