New forum to support in-house lawyers at Irish tech companies
A new forum for in-house lawyers at Irish tech companies is set to be officially launched next week.
Irish Tech General Counsel (ITGC), founded by Sarah Irwin, head of legal at cybersecurity automation startup Tines, will host its inaugural in-person event at Huckletree D2 next Thursday 7 April at 6.30pm.
Aimed at lawyers at all levels of tech companies, ITGC describes its mission as being:
-
“to connect like-minded legal leaders of Irish technology companies to the people, content and resources necessary for their personal and professional growth;
-
“to provide a supportive environment to ensure our members do not become isolated in their working lives; and
-
“to empower members to be the best strategic business leaders by providing access to a peer forum for knowledge-sharing around legal best practices, risk management, data protection, compliance and other key areas of common interest in the Irish technology sector.”
Ms Irwin told Irish Legal News: “We have created a supportive forum for innovative in-house lawyers at Irish tech companies that want to stay ahead of the curve on legal and commercial matters of common interest, position themselves as strategic business partners within their company and feel less isolated in their day-to-day work.
“If this appeals to anyone, please join us at the ITGC launch party on 7 April at Huckletree D2 here in Dublin.”
