Dublin firm O’Brien Redmond Solicitors has merged with Ken Kennedy Law, the two firms announced today.

Inspired by a generation of family solicitors before him, O’Brien Redmond Solicitors was established by Brian O’Brien in 1997. Mr O’Brien’s mother was a solicitor and her aunt became Ireland’s first practising female solicitor.

Mr O’Brien and Michelle Collins will join a growing team at Ken Kennedy Law, bolstering the firm’s offering in the areas of litigation, property and probate law.

Ken Kennedy Law was set up in 2018 and now has staff of 15 people including 10 lawyers. The firm also recently set up an English law practice operating out of London.

In a statement, principal Ken Kennedy said: “We are delighted to announce the merger with O’Brien Redmond Solicitors. Both Brian and Michelle are highly respected amongst clients and colleagues alike.

“I believe the merger will afford the practice an opportunity to expand further and enhance the services we can provide in the years ahead whilst maintaining as its core value the personal attention to our increasing client base.”
