Ms O’Halloran, who joined the firm seven years ago, succeeds outgoing department head and managing partner Jennifer Downing.

She advises corporate and private clients on all aspects of commercial property transactions with a particular focus on acquisitions and disposals, development schemes, secured finance and commercial leasing.

In a statement, Orbitus said Ms Downing, who continues as managing partner, had been “instrumental in growing the firm’s practice during her 10+ years in the role”.

“We congratulate Paula on this well-deserved promotion and look forward to this exciting new era for our commercial property team,” it added.
