Paul McGarry SC elected president of Arbitration Ireland
Former Bar Council chairperson Paul McGarry SC has been elected as president of Arbitration Ireland.
Mr McGarry is a private client barrister and experienced international arbitrator who served as chair of the Bar Council from 2016 to 2018.
A number of new members have also been elected to Abritration Ireland’s executive committee, including A&L Goodbody partner Ciarán Ó Conluain, Addleshaw Goddard partner Caoilfhionn Ní Chuanacháin, Allen & Overy partner David Herlihy and Ogier Leman partner Elaine White.
The mission of Arbitration Ireland is to promote awareness of Ireland as a venue and seat for international arbitration, and to increase the profile of Irish arbitrators and practitioners amongst the international arbitration community.
