NI: Peter Magill and Steven Keown appointed as district judges

Barrister Peter Magill and solicitor Steven Keown have been sworn in as Northern Ireland’s newest district judges, The Irish News reports.
Mr Magill called to The Bar of Northern Ireland in 1978 and has worked in civil, family and criminal law as both a defence and prosecution lawyer.
Mr Keown, co-founder of McCallion Keown Solicitors, was admitted to the Law Society of Northern Ireland in 2002 and the Law Society of Ireland in 2015.
The Belfast Solicitors’ Association (BSA) said: “Many congratulations and best wishes to our former chairman, Mr Steven Keown on his judicial appointment.”
