Belfast-based Phoenix Law has promoted immigration solicitor Sinead Marmion to the position of senior associate.

Ms Marmion joined the firm in 2019 and acts in all areas of asylum and immigration law, spanning multiple practice areas including human rights, public law and litigation.

She has played a pivotal role in several high-profile cases, including challenges to the Illegal Migration Act 2023 and the wider Rwanda deportation scheme, both of which had international consequences.

Darragh Mackin, partner at Phoenix Law, said: “Sinead embodies the core values of Phoenix Law through her exceptional client service, teamwork and entrepreneurial drive.

“We are thrilled to elevate her to senior associate and look forward to her continued contributions to our client and the firm.”

Ms Marmion said: “I am deeply honoured to be promoted to senior associate at Phoenix Law.

“This promotion allows me to further contribute to our mission of advancing human rights and advocating for those who need it most.

“As an immigration lawyer, I remain committed to fighting for justice, fairness and dignity for individuals and communities facing some of the most difficult challenges in our society.

“I look forward to continuing to work alongside my talented colleagues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.”
