UK: Pinsent Masons reappointed as E.ON UK sole advisor
Pinsent Masons has been reappointed as the sole advisor to UK energy company E.ON UK until 2023.
It marks the second time that the international law firm, with offices in Belfast and Dublin, has been appointed as as E.ON UK’s sole legal advisor under a five year agreement. The 2013 deal was one of the first agreements of its kind.
Partner Jonathan Fortnam, who leads the relationship with E.ON UK, said: “By renewing our partnership, we can continue to provide valuable and strategic advice and support to E.ON UK.
“They play a vital role in the UK energy market and over the past five years we have developed an in-depth understanding of how best we can meet their needs. E.ON takes a long-term view of UK’s energy sector, and we see this as the continuation of a strong relationship across the next five years.”
Kirin Kalsi, head of legal E.ON UK, added: “Our relationship with Pinsent Masons has been an exciting and innovative arrangement and the success of this is evidenced by the latest extension to the agreement for another five years.”
