The Pro Bono Choir’s next concert on 18 May 2017, titled A Place Called Home, will raise cash for The Welcome Organisation.

The choir will be performing with Belfast musical icon Brian Kennedy, the amazing Fr. Liam Lawton, the Abaana New Life Children’s Choir from Uganda, and barrister baritone Karl McGuckin.

Joe Rice, co-chair of the Choir, told Irish Legal News that he expected the event to be “an absolute sell out”.

Mr Rice said: “We have no doubt that given the quality of the performers and the traditional generosity of the legal professions throughout this island, especially in support of the under-privileged, poor and homeless, as befits our group called the Pro Bono Choir, we would expect this Concert to raise thousands of pounds for the Welcome Organisation and to be an absolute sell out.”

Sandra Moore, CEO of the Welcome Organisation, added: “We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Pro Bono Choir for choosing the Welcome Organisation as the charity to benefit from A Place Called Home.

“The money raised from the Concert will go towards the charity’s range of services for people affected by homelessness across Belfast. We could not provide the full level of support that we do without the generosity of groups like the Pro Bono Choir and everyone who has contributed to and attends the concert.”
