The programme aims to support students who have the ability to succeed in higher education, irrespective of socio-economic background; disability; ethnicity; political opinion; gender; marital status; sexual orientation; or age.

JMK Solicitors launched the student prize in 2019 in conjunction with Queen’s University.

Congratulating the students on winning the prize, Maurece Hutchinson, managing director at JMK, said: “We are very pleased for Aoife, Bailey and Caoimhe who have done exceptionally well. I was delighted to meet Aoife and present her with her prize and on behalf of the team at JMK Solicitors, we wish all three every success in their continuing studies and future legal career.”

Ms Hutchinson added: “We are delighted to recognise and reward the efforts of the next generation of lawyers. We believe it is important to support students who go the extra mile in the study of tort law or civil wrongs, which relates very closely to what we do at JMK in seeking compensation for those who suffer personal injury, loss or damage caused by the negligence of others.
