NI: Queen’s University team takes part in Nuremberg moot for first time
Law students at Queen’s University Belfast took part in the International Moot in Nuremberg for the first time over the weekend.
QUB School of Law’s international criminal law mooting team were placed third at the contest in Germany on Saturday, facing off against 24 other countries around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Pakistan, Rwanda, USA, Uganda and Ukraine.
The QUB team - including Edain Jamison, Nicholas Lennon, Egle Vasiliauskaite, Stephen Browne and Gemma Crane - was coached by Dr Luke Moffett and had to argue prosecution and defence sides.
Judges included prosecutors, judges and staff from the International Criminal Court, Special Tribunal for Lebanon and other courts.
