Quigg Golden’s Dermot Durack named chair of CIArb Ireland
Dermot Durack, associate director at Quigg Golden, has been appointed as chairperson of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Ireland.
Mr Durack is a chartered quantity surveyor, arbitrator, adjudicator and mediator and one of three Quigg Golden employees who are members of the Construction Contracts Adjudication Panel, along with Edward Quigg and James Golden.
He was previously vice-chair of CIArb Ireland and has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, working on large complex construction projects within Ireland and Europe.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Durack said: “I’m incredibly honoured to be leading the Ireland branch of this prestigious international organisation for alternative dispute resolution.
“The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators is your one-stop resource for resolving any dispute, anywhere, regardless of its nature. We’ll not only help you find solutions, but also educate you on the power of ADR and its diverse applications in settling disputes.”
Quigg Golden began providing legal services in Ireland in 2019, having provided construction and procurement consultancy and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services in Dublin, Belfast and London for nearly three decades.
