Reddy Charlton’s Siobhán Lafferty completes Master’s with FC Barcelona

Reddy Charlton lawyer Siobhán Lafferty has completed a global Master’s in sports management and legal skills delivered by the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia (ISDE) in conjunction with FC Barcelona.
The year-long course involves regular Zoom classes led by professionals from the sports industry, including in-house legal and other staff at FC Barcelona, Barcelona Basketball Club, RCD Espanyol, Southampton FC and FC Porto amongst others.
The course also includes an educational stay in Barcelona, visiting the most important international sports institutions and some of the specialist law firms in the region.
Ms Lafferty’s final dissertation focused on the area of sanctioning of players for gambling offences.
Reddy Charlton said she “developed a strong understanding of the management and law in a variety of different clubs, jurisdictions and sports” through the course.
