Ruth Cannon BL to speak on history of women in the Four Courts
Barrister and historian Ruth Cannon BL will speak on the history of women in the Four Courts on Wednesday at the first in-person event hosted by the Irish Women Lawyers Association (IWLA) since 2019.
The event in the Law Society’s lecture theatre, running from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, will form part of the association’s “International Women’s Week”, with International Women’s Day itself falling on Tuesday.
The Fair, Feared and ‘Finished at Forty’: Women and the Four Courts, 1796-2000 talk will also raise money for the Red Cross in Ukraine.
