NI: Sheena Mahaffey joins criminal defence team at HHD Solicitors

Belfast-based Higgins Hollywood Deazley (HHD) Solicitors has announced the appointment of advanced solicitor advocate Sheena Mahaffey to the firm’s criminal department.
Ms Mahaffey, a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast and Queen’s University Canada, called to The Bar of Northern Ireland in 1992 and practised as a barrister for 24 years, specialising in criminal law, family law and civil law.
She subsequently acted as a court prosecutor in criminal matters for 17 years, before spending a number of years in government legal services.
Commenting on her appointment, partner Matt Higgins said: “Sheena’s breadth of knowledge in criminal matters and considerable experience inside a criminal court room will be of great benefit to our clients.
“Sheena is a welcome addition to our growing criminal department and our legal team.”
