Shoosmiths hires Andrew Jennings as Belfast partner
UK law firm Shoosmiths has announced the appointment of corporate lawyer Andrew Jennings as a partner in its Belfast office.
Mr Jennings is dual qualified in Northern Ireland and England and Wales, with a strong reputation for venture capital and private equity work.
His experience spans Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK, advising large local and international companies, private equity funds and fast growth businesses.
His appointment mirrors the firm’s focus on infrastructure and energy, Mr Jennings having significant experience within the sector including renewables and alternative energy solutions.
Belfast co-head Mark Blair said: “Andrew’s collaborative and client-focused reputation makes him the perfect fit for our Shoosmiths Belfast office. With extensive corporate experience paired with specialist infrastructure and energy knowledge, his appointment will no doubt be a success both internally and with clients.”
Mr Jennings said: “The Shoosmiths Northern Ireland team has had rapid growth to date and I am excited to build upon its ambitious practices. I look forward to working with the national corporate team with its strong private equity credentials, as well as growing the firm’s infrastructure and energy presence within the local market.”
The hire is the latest in a series of key appointments for Shoosmiths, following the appointment of corporate partner Grant Edwards in July and banking and finance partner Anna Vangrove in April.
