NI: Shoosmiths launches traineeship programme in Northern Ireland
UK law firm Shoosmiths has launched its first trainee solicitor programme in Northern Ireland.
The Belfast office, which became part of Shoosmiths through a merger in 2016, will welcome graduates for the first time in September 2021, alongside nine of the firm’s other UK offices.
For this initial recruitment round, the firm is inviting applications only from candidates who have already completed the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) entrance exam.
Belfast partner Gillian Crotty said: “Shoosmiths has an enviable track record of trainees being offered and accepting NQ positions with the firm.
“This initial step is just the start of opening doors to a career in law for ambitious and talented individuals. We hope to expand the scheme and increase the number of trainees in the coming years.”
More information about the Belfast traineeship programme is available from the Shoosmiths website.
