Sister of murder victim Irene White launches lawsuit against her estranged husband
The sister of murder victim Irene White has launched a lawsuit against her late sister’s estranged husband in connection with her estate.
Anne Delcassian, represented by solicitor Kevin Winters of KRW Law, initiated High Court proceedings against Alan White last week, the Irish Independent reports.
Mr Winters issued a plenary summons on behalf of Ms Delcassian on Friday, seeking various orders and declarations.
Mrs White was stabbed to death in 2005, but nobody was convicted in connection with the murder until last year.
Anthony Lambe, 35, pleaded guilty to murder and was jailed for life in 2018, and Niall Power, 37, pleaded guilty to murder and was jailed for life last month.
Ms Delcassian is terminally ill and Mr Power’s trial heard that she has just weeks to live.
Commenting on her legal action, Mr Winters told the Irish Independent: “These are matters of the utmost sensitivity. It would not be appropriate to comment any further as all parties are due to the protection of due process.”
