Six rural firms receive solicitor training grant
Six law firms have been awarded grants by the Law Society towards training solicitors outside of the biggest cities in the State.
Firms in counties Offaly, Westmeath, Kilkenny, Limerick, Monaghan, and Kerry received the Law Society Small Practice Training Grant in 2023, according to the Law Society Gazette.
The grant provides €18,000 over the course of a two-year training contract, as well as a €7,000 discount to a trainee solicitor’s Professional Practice Course (PPC) fee.
In total, 21 grants have been awarded since the scheme was launched in 2020.
The six grants awarded in 2023 represents a slight increase on five grants in 2022.
