Solicitor appointed to Sport NI board
Solicitor Eoin McGarrity has been appointed to the board of Sport NI for a four-year term.
Mr McGarrity is currently head of legal and compliance and a director of Charterhouse Group, where he is responsible for risk management, governance, ESG and legal compliance.
He has previously been a governor of a local primary school where he chaired the joint consultative committee. He brings a range of commercial, financial, and partnership working skills to the board.
Sport NI was established in 1973 to develop sport and physical recreation in Northern Ireland in line with the Recreation and Youth Service (NI) Order 1986 and is an arms-length body of the Department for Communities (DfC). Its main objective is the furtherance of sport and physical activity in Northern Ireland.
