Spanish student wins family law prize at Maynooth University

An international exchange student from Spain has won the Walls and Toomey Solicitors Family Law Prize for the highest annual mark in family law at Maynooth University Department of Law.
Beatriz Jimena Tamayo Velasco, from the Universidad de Valladolid, attained first place in a class of over 225 family law students taught by Dr Fergus Ryan, associate professor in law.
Dublin family law firm Walls and Toomey, headed by partners Muriel Walls and Grahame Toomey, sponsors the prize, which is now in its fifth year.
