Summer festival to put focus on legal tech and legal operations
Ireland’s first-ever summer festival showcasing “all things legal tech and legal ops” is taking place in Dublin next week.
Hosted by Irish Tech General Counsel (ITGC), the free Legal TechOps Ireland event on Wednesday 6 July will feature speakers including Alex Kelly, co-founder and COO at Brightflag; Sinead Garnett, managing director of legal operations and solutions at Johnson Hana; and Nick McCarthy, responsible for international expansion at Ironclad.
It will explore how and why legal tech and legal operations are transforming in-house legal practice in Ireland; how they are enabling in-house legal teams to better serve their clients and remain relevant in a fast-moving market through leveraging technology and applying strategic business principles to the delivery of in-house legal services; and what they hold for the future of our industry in 2022 and beyond.
The event is sponsored by Maples Group, Brightflag and Johnson Hana, and will begin with a networking reception at 6.30pm at Hen’s Teeth in Dublin. Places are limited, so free registration is required through the ITGC website.
Sarah Irwin, founder of ITGC, told Irish Legal News: “We are delighted to host this event to celebrate and showcase all things legal tech and legal ops that Ireland has to offer to in-house legal professionals.
“As is ITGC tradition, there will be a DJ and plenty of food and drinks because we also want attendees to enjoy themselves and give them another opportunity to continue building key relationships with likeminded, innovative in-house legal professionals at tech companies in Ireland in a fun setting.”
