Susan Martin elected president of Dublin Solicitors Bar Association
Susan Martin has been elected as president of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association (DSBA).
Ms Martin is a practising solicitor of over 20 years and principal of Martin Solicitors. She is also a serving officer in the Army Reserve.
Speaking after the DSBA’s recent AGM, Ms Martin said she was “delighted and privileged” to serve as president of the association.
The DSBA stands out in “its engagement of solicitors in providing voluntary practical timely assistance, guidance and education to practitioners in a spirit of collegiality, supporting and uplifting the profession, making a legal community”, she added.
Ms Martin also paid tribute to her predecessor, Diego Gallagher, who she congratulated on a very successful year as president, in particular for his critical work in respect of the Dignity Matters report and campaign against workplace harassment.
She is joined on the DSBA Council for 2022-23 by vice-president Matthew Kenny, secretary Joan Doran, honorary treasurer Niall Cawley and programmes director Paul Ryan.
There are also 10 ordinary members on the Council, namely Avril Mangan, Ciara Hallinan, Eimear O’Doherty, Gerry O’Connell, Jessica Hickey, Killian O’Reilly, Patrick Longworth, Ronan McLoughlin, Ciara O’Kennedy and Stefan O’Connor.
